Renaissance Festival

Last Saturday we went to the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY. This was the girls first trip, but Robb and I used to go a lot. It was so much fun to see the different activities through the girl's eyes.
The girls loved their ride on the green dragon. I would not want to be the person who has to push it all day long. His arm muscles were huge and he almost decapitated himself when he stopped it. He grabbed the dragon paw and let the dragon push him backwards which left him inches from the ground.
Knowing that the girls were going to be excited about the costumes and hair I planned ahead and dressed them in their princess dresses and braided Raina's hair. Papa and Nana did buy them beautiful hair pieces that they have worn pretty much everywhere since we have gotten home.

They loved riding on the horses, though they enjoyed the jousting too.

The highlight of the day for the girls was meeting the queen. Her ladies in waiting taught the girls how to curtsy and swapped stories with the girls about tea parties. Taryn had taken off her dress for a while, but when she saw the queen she started yelling that she needed her dress back on, NOW!
My girls were tired out from a hard day of fun and camping. What a great time!
